What are the rules for using the slalom course?

The slalom course, located in the Mid-Ohio Ski Club tournament area is funded, built and maintained by the club. Although it is intended primarily for the use by club members, the club invites other skilled skiers to try the course as well. Our procedure for using the course is as follows:
1. Skiers intending to use the course should line up at the southern end of the slalom course. Turns are on a first come bases with club members ALWAYS having priority over non-club skiers.
2. The line for use of the course is by boat, one skier per boat at a time. Each boat may pull one skier through the course then return to the end of the line.
3. Each skier is permitted a maximum of six passes (or three falls) through the course. Then the boat must vacate the tournament area or return to the end of the line at the southern end of the course.
4. Club members are pleased to assist novices with pointers and tips on driving through the course.

Do I need to belong to the club to use the slalom course?

No. The slalom course is open to all skiers. Members of the club have priority, but all skilled skiers are welcome to try going around the 6 buoys. We do ask that you do not alter or change the course in any way. Only club members should adjust or repair the course since they are familiar with the setup.

I like to kneeboard and wakeboard, can I still join?

Of course, the club is not soley for slalom skiing. We welcome any member or family that enjoys spending time behind a boat tearing it up. Our membership includes kids, families, and adults that enjoy barefooting, slalom, wakerboarding, kneeboarding, and more.
